Ecoland Hungary
This project was launched by KÖVET-INEM Hungaria in 2004. The purpose of this project is to sustain the development and test methodologies targeted to foster, at a regional level, SMEs development and economic growth based on sustainable development criteria.
The projects sets up the framework to elaborate guidelines for planning industrial sites environmentally and technologically infrastructured, and to test the innovative management (from the environmental and ICT point of view) of SMEs.
The Ecoland project proposed a frame to test and apply Potsstar to a significant number of Hungarian companies. Potsstar is a rating system based on the Ecomapping that was developped by KÖVET to help vizualize companies' performances in terms of environmental effectiveness and management.
