The University of Queensland - Environmental Management Center
The Environmental Management Center (EMC) is part of the University's School of Geography, Planning and Architechture. The EMC is a research, consulting and training group that administers postgraduate environmental studies, and provides environmental consulting services both nationally and internationally. Particular emphasis is given to the theory and practice of sustainability, ecological economics, environmental impact assessment and audits, Cleaner Production, environmental law and policy, eco-tourism, natural resource management, and management of World Heritage Areas.
By assisting industry, government and the professions apply new environmental management practices, the EMC supports the implementation of the Clean Production program launched by the UNEP.
