European Commission - Environment DG


The Environment DG of the European Commission is concerned about the environmental issues related to the industry and the technology. The Eco-Management Audit Scheme (EMAS) is part of the environmental policies set up to adress these issues. The European Commission uses its official website as an information tool on the EMAS. Therefore it provides an enironmental management system toolkit. Ecomapping is a component of this EMS toolkit that is adapted to the needs of small and medium enterprises.
